We took a quick road trip to Anaheim California with our good friends, Hillary & Craig, to see Metric and Paramore in concert. We had a lot of fun on the trip! We stopped at the Palms Springs outlet mall on the way for lunch and shopping. Hillary and I bought some purses from the Coach outlet store while Kevin and Craig hung out and had some drinks.
Our hotel was right across from the venue, after we got checked in, we walked over to a brewery and had dinner and drinks before the show. Then walked across the street to the concert. We got awesome seats - front row - a little off-center from the stage, though we did have security guards in our way occasionally. I didn't get any good pictures, but thankfully Craig took some good ones with his phone.
I knew every song that Metric played, but they were one of the opening acts, so they only played for 40 minutes. I'm surprised that Metric isn't as well known as Paramore. Paramore put on a great show, their lighting was like an old school laser show! After the concert we bought concert t-shirts and headed back to the hotel.
The next day we had the free breakfast at the hotel, which included delicious fresh made pancakes and bacon. After that we checked out and drove to Downtown Disney for more shopping, and then headed home.
