52 Photos - #1 - Time
I've decided to participate in a weekly photo challenge on ILovePhotography (no way am I ready for a 365 challenge!). I submit one photo a week based on a specific theme. It's not a contest - just a way to get practice and constructive criticism so I can get better at photography. The photo theme for this week is 'Time'. Here's my submission...

Furry Photo Shoot
I wanted to take some practice shots with my new camera. Cassie and Abbie are always willing subjects as long as treats are involved!
All pictures were taken with the Canon Rebel T3i with Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens and edited in iPhoto. As you can see I'm loving the shallow Depth of Field (maybe a little too much because I never changed the aperture)! I was trying to practice composition; taking the same scene(s) from various perspectives to see how it changes the composition of the photo.

One of my goals for 2012 is to improve my photography skills - I'm retaking my online photography class, so I'll be posting my practice shots here on the blog.

Photo Shoot
My sister-in-law, Luann (Whole Grain photography), was kind enough to do a photo shoot for Kevin and me over Thanksgiving weekend. As always she took tons of great photos. It was hard to choose which one to use for our Christmas cards this year! Here are a few of my favorites.
