Cancun

Kevin and I went to Cancun for our 10 year anniversary.  We stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres Hotel.  All we wanted to do was relax - we never left the resort.  It was an amazing week.  Here's my vacation to do list:

Day 1 (9/10/11) - Geek out over our swim up junior suite, eat lobster and shrimp by candle light at a restaurant by the beach (The Lobster House)!

Day 2 (9/11/11) -  Eat breakfast in bed, grab a floatie going by in the pool just outside our room, float down to the main pool, float around the pool, eat Mexican food under the stars at the Agave restaurant.  Watch 9/11 shows in rememberance of that tragic day.

Day 3 (09/12/11) - Eat a huge buffet breakfast from the Toscana Grill, swim in the ocean, float around the pool.  Order room service for dinner.  Light some candles, sit in the steaming Jacuzzi, open the patio doors, watch the lightning and listen to the thunder and the rain falling down.

Day 4 (09/13/11) - Float around the pool, float around the pool, take a nap under the palapa, read, have lunch at The Grill, float around the pool.  Enjoy a Teppanyaki dinner of shrimp, chicken, and steak at Spice Asian restaurant with all the newlyweds.

Day 5 (09/14/11) - Eat breakfast at the Toscana Grill, lounge in the hammock, chase Paco the Iguana, take a siesta on the patio, Go shopping for souvenirs, lay on the beach until sunset.  Eat dinner at the Flavor Market (Tapas), practice speaking Spanish with Hugo at the Martini Bar.

Day 6 (09/15/11) - Our 10 year anniversary!  Champagne breakfast, float around the pool all day, dine at the Lobster House for lunch, and finally, enjoy a romantic dinner at Chez Isabelle.  Cry at the table when Kevin gives you a diamond wedding band as an anniversary gift.

Day 7 (09/16/11) - Wake up at 3:45 AM, throw all of our belongings into our lugage, catch the shuttle to the airport, fly for 5+ hours, go through customs and immigration, unpack, have dinner with friends, crash!
